Principal Data Architect

This role is designed for a highly experienced data architecture leader who will shape and evolve modern data platforms in a complex, high-impact financial services environment. You will be responsible for driving the architecture of large-scale lakehouse and data lake ecosystems, ensuring scalability, governance, and readiness for advanced AI use cases. Beyond traditional data engineering, the position has a strong focus on Generative AI, LLMs, and AI agents applied to real business problems, particularly in the context of investment and digital asset operations. You will act as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, translating complex technical architecture into business value. The environment is highly innovative, combining cloud, AI, and financial markets. This is a leadership role that blends deep technical expertise with strong communication and mentoring capabilities.

• Lead the design, evolution, and modernization of large-scale data lake and lakehouse architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Define and execute the strategy for integrating Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and vector databases into enterprise data ecosystems.
• Drive the design and implementation of AI agents to support business functions such as sales and client engagement through real-time data access.
• Act as the primary technical advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders, translating architecture decisions into clear business impact.
• Establish and enforce DataOps practices, data governance frameworks, and lifecycle management standards across platforms.
• Mentor engineering teams, fostering technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and leadership development.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and define architectural roadmaps aligned with business and innovation goals.
• Identify and mitigate architectural, operational, and security risks to ensure platform reliability and scalability.

Requirements:

• Fluent English (C1 level or above) for direct interaction with global stakeholders and clients.
• Proven experience as a Principal Data Architect or equivalent in large-scale data platform programs.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud ecosystem and modern data architecture patterns (lakehouse, data lakes).
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures, and vector databases.
• Experience working with Snowflake, including assessment and optimization of existing implementations.
• Strong understanding of DataOps, data governance, and data lifecycle management principles.
• Background in Financial Services (e.g., fintech, investment funds, asset management, or capital markets).
• Nice to have: experience with blockchain, crypto/digital assets, Databricks, or Web3 environments.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills with experience influencing executive-level decisions.
• Familiarity with agile delivery environments and enterprise AI platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock or similar).
