As a Principal Engineer, you will apply your love of product-minded decision making with a passion for helping others achieve and drive significant impact on our technical direction. This role focuses on developing, building and maintaining infrastructure for business-client facing applications and Shippabo API, while supporting a team of focused and talented engineers

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software development is required to be successful in this role
• Mastery in leading technical design and maintaining extensive and growing software architectures
• Expert command of Typescript, React, JavaScript (ES2015+ features, tooling)
• Exceptional written and verbal technical communication
• Unmatched organizational and time management skills to steet projects and guide team members
• Passion for continually shipping high quality, elegant, and scalable code with an aim to delight users
• Alignment with the modalities of a high growth tech startup

Responsibilities:

• Lead design proposals and technical reviews with a good balance of business, product, and technical awareness
• Promote culture of engineering excellence throughout organization
• Act as primary technical resource to other engineer team members
• Participate in technical and product roadmap reviews
• Promote technical decision making through design discussions, validations, and feedback loops
• Support growth of other software engineers via pairing and design/code review
• Thoroughly understand the business needs and anticipates future challenges
• Seek out opportunities to simplify product & technical design

Education:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent is required
