Position Overview

Autodesk ACS (Autodesk Construction Solutions) R&D team is looking for a talented and highly passionate individual to join its product development team and develop world class cloud-based software products and solutions to solve interesting problems in the construction industry. If you are a person with strong technical background, and proficient in designing/architecting cloud-based solutions considering scalability, robustness, flexibility, and privacy aspects, possess strong design and coding skills, passionate about critical thinking while solving problems, we would love to hear from you!

You will be part of an agile team of smart and highly motivated engineers building highly scalable, secure and cloud-based products/services. You will work in a global team and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations, support etc. You will work with latest technologies in a flexible environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant systems with minimal guidance.

• Provide leadership to the team in conjunction with Development Manager, Product Owner, and Architect

• Proactively and continuously evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the systems.

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.

• Should help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

• Should have the ability to span to full stack development whenever necessary.

• Write and maintain code with high attention to details, perform peer code-reviews, and participate in technical design discussions

• Occasionally, would be willing to work in US time zone to solve any critical production issues in a timely fashion (Approx. for 2 months in a year)

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• 8 to 12 years of experience in software development

• Proficient in NodeJS and ReactJS based technologies.

• Hands-on Experience with Amazon web services - ECS, Lambda, Batch, Step Function, Fargate, API Gateway, CloudFront etc

• Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming

• Solid understanding of typical web application architecture (data, application, web tiers etc.)

• Hands-on experience of developing RESTful web services.

• Hands-on experience with Relational and NoSQL database technologies e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB etc.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to converse fluently with multiple types of audiences ranging from engineering & product managers, architects and UX designers.

• Familiarity with service monitoring tools like new relic or equivalent and ability tofind root cause, set alerts & navigate through logs.
