Job Description

The SDD Engineering Group designs, develops, and delivers low-cost, highly capable systems to address the warfighter needs (Land, Sea, Air, and Space). The focuses on technology development for advanced and multi-function sensor systems, particularly in the areas of radar, cyber/electronic warfare, and threat emulators. Within this role, we perform work at full system prototypes, experiment campaigns and technology component development.
You will be part of a team focused on the design, development, and testing of hardware systems. These systems will often include RF-digital interfaces that incorporate FPGAs, Software Defined Radios and power components. You will lead integration and testing activities and customer demonstrations of completed systems, both in laboratory settings and in the field. Additionally, you will support the effort to evaluate current and future system capabilities, identify improved applications and techniques, and ultimately recommend solutions.

This group provides the full range of systems design, analysis, integration, verification, and validation activities in support of STR programs.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Designing, developing, and testing advanced hardware systems for radar, electronic warfare, SIGINT, ESM, ISR, communications, Cyber and related applications
  • Deriving hardware system requirements from a wide variety of customer CONOPS
  • Designing system architectures and specifying systems at the level of subsystems and individual components
  • Working with vendors and subcontractors to develop custom systems and components
  • Creating Hardware development plans, technical documentation, and test plans
  • Integrating, testing, and demonstrating prototypes and delivered systems
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to more junior staff members

Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
  • MS or BS with 10 years' experience in electrical engineering, physics, or related technical discipline
  • Strong knowledge of advanced analog and digital signal processing concepts
