Principal IT Application Architect (Remote) - (ForgeRock, DataPower, & SiteMinder)

What is my Impact?

The Principal IT Application Architect is an expert in the capabilities and technologies for a domain and helps define the capability and technology strategy for the domain.

What are my Key Responsibilities?

• Serves as a subject matter export on capabilities and technologies for a domain, including the application and integration architectures. Advises the domain director other domain managers on capability and technology topics. Provides technical leadership to other IT Application Architects and development teams.
• Collaborates with Enterprise Architects and other domain Application Architects to ensure that proposed technologies and application architectures align with enterprise standards.
• Evaluates strengths and flaws in application architecture designs including performance, quality, and availability, simplicity of design, security, and total cost of ownership. Define reusable components and patterns.
• Participates in the evaluation, selection and implementation of technology solutions including providing detailed analysis of pros and cons and build vs buy options. Promotes implementation of new technology, solutions, and methods to improve business processes, efficiency, effectiveness, and value delivered to customers. Maintains operational, architectural and design documentation including procedures, task lists, and business area architecture blueprints.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with IT and business area partners to evaluate designs and controls communicating business value and ROI of architecture. Mentors and provides technical oversight of work of less experienced Architects.

What is Required?

• Required Work Experience: 8+ years related work experience in IT application architecture, development, programming, and coding professional work experience or equivalent combination of transferrable experience and education. Display technical leadership.
• Required Education: Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field or equivalent work experience.

• Highly Proficient in multiple programming languages (Required: ForgeRock, DataPower, and SiteMinder).
• Senior IT Application Architect working on progressively complex IT projects or equivalent.
• Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
• Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience applying current and emerging technology solutions and trends.
• Experience and understanding with unit testing, release procedures, coding, design, and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures.

• BlueCross BlueShield organization experience.

General Physical Demands:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $132,200 - $214,900

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $132,200 - $165,300

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
