The Principal IT Enterprise Technical Solutions Architect is responsible for driving company-wide technology architecture providing technical expertise to business areas and project teams with an emphasis on implementation of innovative and leading-edge technology solutions for:
- Content management
- Interoperability
- Gateways
- Robotics/Automation
Principal Architects work with stakeholders, including technical, functional and business process subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of an organization's strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets. The role of the Enterprise Architect is to take this knowledge and ensure that the organization's business and Information Technology (IT) systems are in alignment. The Enterprise Architect links the business mission, strategy, and processes of an organization to its IT strategy, and documents this using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.
What's My Key Responsibilities?
- Enterprise Technology evangelist - builds critical mass of support for a given technology and establishes architecture and implementation as a standard for the enterprise. (20%)
- Serves as technical solutions architecture subject matter expert to business areas, project teams and vendors to apply and execute appropriate use of technology solutions. Lead efforts to implement technology vision and take it to production end state for the implementation.
- Benchmarks technology strategies and architectures. Monitors and anticipates trends and investigates organizational objectives and needs. Prepares benchmarking reports and presentations.
- Bring Speed to Market solutions and make GuideWell a true digital company with tangible efficiency on two principals' value today and growth tomorrow.
- Execute Enterprise-wide IT Strategy definition and implementation based on leading-edge industry standards, best practices, ROI and comprehensive understanding of corporate mission and bridges the gap between business and IT.
- Design and define a set of architecture artifacts to support the development of architectures in accordance with architecture policy and execute the implementation strategy.
- Exhibit evaluating and promoting emerging technologies and solutions based on risks and benefits to enable Florida Blue in becoming best in class Health Solutions IT company.
What's Required?
- 8+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Solutions Architect working on progressively complex IT projects spawning across domains
- IT Healthcare/Insurance Payer Industry Expert SME
- Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
- Ability and willingness to work with challenging clients and provide effective communication for successful architecture development
- Spend a good deal of time teaching, explaining and educating the other architects, IT leads across the organization.
- Possess high level oral and written communication, problem solving, and diplomatic skill sets
- Extensive knowledge working in a prior healthcare insurance company with respect to preventive care, claims processing, member enrollment and provider network engagement
- Execute enterprise wide technology roadmaps on platforms like Hadoop, Polyglot Persistence , DevOps tools, PAAS and Search Engines
- Good understanding of security standards and infrastructure standards guiding domains to adhere to enterprise security architecture
- Ability to lead problem resolution during failures/outages of mission critical applications impacting business and customers
- Strong architecture experience on security protocols - SAML, OATH2, JWT and Kerberos security
What is Preferred?
- Leading teams for the enterprise-wide rollout of modern UX technologies and building rich UI applications on mobile and desktop platforms Leading teams for the enterprise wide rollout of Microservices platform(s), Serverless computing and Microservices security
- Ability to enhance team spirit; proficient in teamwork -- coordination, collaboration, facilitation, and information sharing Experience building Internet of Things (IOT) solutions for massive datasets
- Guidewell or Florida Blue experience

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $143,400 - $179,300
Annualized Salary Range: $143,400 - $233,100
