Job Description

Ibotta is looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As our first Principal Product Manager, you will develop and execute the strategic roadmap of company-level initiatives. You will closely partner with the Head of Product to evaluate our current tools and processes in order to identify and evangelize better operational processes within Product and the company at large. You will work in close partnership with other members of the Product Leadership Team to mentor team members, surface industry best standards, and identify new opportunities for Product leadership and support

This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing

  • Lead key strategic initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams, identifying and refining requirements, prioritizing critical work, and leading execution while keeping company leadership apprised of progress

  • Partner with Product Leadership to identify opportunities to leverage your Product Management experience and expertise and jump in as needed

  • Lead Product Operations for the team

  • Ensure that our Product Process and Principles stay fresh and top of mind for the team

  • Mentor and inspire the Product team through 1:1 sessions and informal coaching

  • Own and organize industry knowledge team meetings such as Thought Leadership Club and Product Perspective

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with leaders across the company including engineering, analytics, architecture, business development, finance, marketing, and sales 

  • Regularly communicate with group leaders and executive stakeholders regarding overall strategic direction and upcoming opportunities for collaboration

What we are looking for

  • 8+ years of product management experience building and launching successful products, preferably a mix of both D2C and B2B/SaaS products 

  • A track record of launching products and experiences on-time with high quality, measuring results, and achieving positive outcomes

  • A demonstrated ability to help guide and develop employees through mentorship

  • Swift, high-quality decision making, informed by data, but not paralyzed when faced with a lack of it

  • Evidence of creating clear, transparent, inclusive, and broadly understood approaches to iterative product development that increase team effectiveness

  • Excellent communication skills across all mediums (visual, written, verbal) that build stakeholder coalitions and reinforce your decisions with focus and brevity

  • An ego-free embrace of vigorous debate and conviction that it’s better to be aligned than right

  • A passion for Product and a strong intuition and understanding of what makes great Product teams successful 

  • A strategic lens to say no to good ideas so we can focus on the few, truly great ones

  • An ability to tell a meaningful story around the work the team is doing and how it furthers the business’ objectives

  • An innate curiosity that leads to consistent experimentation and innovation

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity. Candidates must live in the United States.

  • Base compensation range: $160,000-$190,000. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary. This compensation range is specific to the state of Colorado's local labor market and may vary for employees living in other areas.
