The Windows & Devices team is on a journey to deliver iconic end-to-end products across hardware, software, and services that people love and use every day. The Principal Program Manager will help us further drive our investments in both Hardware and Software to enable the next generation of Windows platforms. This position will play a key role in bringing together multiple Microsoft technologies, Silicon (SoC) and Windows to enable new experiences for our customers.

  • Collaborate cross-company with key partner teams to enable Windows and applications to take advantage of SoC capabilities including Security, NPU Media, GPU and CPU.
  • Partners with the engineering teams to define the program(s) goals and prioritization for the multiple feature areas (e.g., product, service) they own across divisional boundaries.
  • Help manage the overall project schedule and milestones across the various teams across Microsoft.
  • Constantly innovate and add value to our business strategy and product roadmap.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of proven engineering program management or related experience.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of Silicon (SoC) and Hardware development process and timelines.
  • A proven ability to manage schedules, concisely frame problems, design simple solutions and make decisions based on data and metrics.
  • Strong cross-discipline collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to lead, drive change and influence without authority across groups.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A BA/BS degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A growth mindset - the ability to learn, maintain a positive attitude and great judgment in fast-paced environments
  • 10+ years of proven, large-scale engineering program management or related experience.
  • Program Management experience relating to hardware platforms and silicon is ideal.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate business problems, alternatives, and product strategy.
