Microsoft's Azure Security organization aspires to build a holistic cybersecurity solution for Microsoft's datacenters by securing industrial control systems (ICS) environment, production operations, physical security systems, management tools, and hardware supply chain while building a coherent security picture across these layers.
We are seeking a motivated, talented, cybers ecurity leader to lead the Secure by Design team , focused on defending M icrosoft datacenters from cyber threats to enable safe operation that is free from compromise .ResponsibilitiesAs the leader of this team, you will be partnering across global datacenter engineering and operations as well as security engineering to deliver control and process improvements that discover and defend datacenter operational technologies (OT) from cyber threats, as well as enhance cybersecurity across multiple sectors through engagement with OT providers and consumers, effectively helping everyone.
You will work across several divisions to create technical vision with artifacts to drive clarity, consensus, and alignment on that vision. Your focus is on operational technology, leading programs that define security standards and best practices, perform operational threat modeling and risk identification, and the co-design of innovative data center solutions ensuring new technologies are adopted and implemented safely.
A successful candidate will possess a range of experience working in highly collaborative environments on cybersecurity programs and solutions for attack prevention, threat detection, incident response, and risk management. You must be able to speak and present effectively to all levels of business and be willing to jump into any situation to help provide support, clarity, technical leadership, and oversight as needed. Cybersecurity for connected OT systems is an emerging industry; your approaches need to be innovative while ensuring life safety and systems integrity is not compromised.
Responsibilities include:
  • Security Issues Analysis
  • Ownership of the creation of standards to address complex security issues
  • Lead the work of technical experts and leverages expertise across a spectrum of specialties to ensure work is properly resourced and prioritized.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure progress, foster collaboration across teams and functional areas, and persuade others to support key priorities
  • Oversee teams in security and architectural design reviews for suite of capabilities

QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
  • 5+ years security experience
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating ability to work in a team environment helping bring projects to successful completion while delivering useful documentation artifacts
  • Strong technical knowledge of enterprise or online service provider security solutions for large environments
Other Qualifications:
  • Ability to balance competing demands for resources and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and successfully execute multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Proven ability to apply clear critical thinking in complex, stressful situations.
  • Ability to escalate, report and engage as needed to ensure a project is delivered as needed across teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Risk Management, Information Assurance, or equivalent experience
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification, Security+ Certification, or relevant certification
  • Any experience with industrial control systems
  • Experience and familiarity with Critical Infrastructure security risks, control, and compliance frameworks
  • Datacenter operational technology background and experiences
  • Proven history working across teams and managing stakeholders to create strong relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus on multiple technical views
  • Ability to learn very quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Active Directory , security policy understanding
  • Basic experience of PKI and code si gning
  • Networking understanding and experience of how to secure computer networks
