Position Overview

You will collaborate with the team by proactively and regularly connecting with them to ensure you and others are building the right thing, the right way and for the right reasons.

You will be part of a growing team of passionate, eager and talented individuals.

As the most senior technical resource on the team you will be responsible for developing solutions that exceed expectations and allow the team to grow by learning from your examples of excellence.

Tech stack

AWS, Docker, JavaScript, NodeJS, Express, Rails, Postgres, Redis, React, Jenkins, NewRelic, Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team by demonstrating technical excellence in green field project development.
• Be a source of inspiration and coding best practices for junior team members.
• Bring tenacity for building high quality solutions that are easy to scale and offer high levels of extensibility.
• Own our platforms reliability, scalability and versatility.
• Collaborate with a variety of teams in ACC, located across the globe.
• Develop features and solve system bugs.
• Be active in code reviews and code contributions.
• Write tests.
• Validate functional specifications.
• Guide and mentor junior developers in best practices.
• Design and implement net new features leveraging creative and proficient system principles.
• Take on complex problems and arrive at practical solutions.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science/related or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of backend and distributed systems engineering experience.
• Led and implemented large complex systems end-to-end across multiple platforms or services.
• Expertise in NodeJS backend.
• Expertise in cloud applications.
• Expertise in API design.
• Expertise with SQL/Postgres DB.
• Expertise in designing scalable, resilient cloud applications.
• Expertise in at least several of the technologies in our tech stack.
• Expertise in leading from design to implementation of complex projects.
• Strong communication skills with an ability to converse across different horizontals and verticals.
• Ability to convert complex software problems into technical tasks.
• Ability to work well in a remote-friendly distributed team to deliver on team goals.
• Flexibility under changing conditions and ability to multi-task between projects.
