About the jobThis position is needed to own and support strategic Information Security (InfoSec) and/or Information Technology (IT) Team OKRs by leading technical project teams to deliver value to Twilio.
In this role, the Principal, Technical Program Manager will manage multiple projects from ideation through completion utilizing Agile and Waterfall processes. You will be a part of the DS&S, Strategic Operations Project Management Office (PMO) which is responsible for creating and maintaining operational and process rigor via a scalable and well-structured project management approach. The role will be responsible for supporting and enabling our cross-functional teams to deliver on OKRs with increased quality, velocity, and value.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll:
- Leverage Program Management mindset and principles (including SAFe, Agile and Waterfall) throughout the project lifecycle; drive the team towards best practices and value driven project delivery making a significant impact on OKRs.
- Program Manage multiple, simultaneous initiatives while working alongside members of the DS&S PMO and other Twilio teams from project inception to completion.Â
- Assist other TPMs supporting projects within program(s) and accountable for program(s) success.
- Design and launch SAFe ceremonies and reporting.Â
- Provide SAFe training to other members of the DS&S team in preparation for SAFe certificationÂ

Required:
- Experience working with Agile projects in InfoSec domains and IT infrastructure, ideally with deeper working knowledge in one or more areas.Â
- Experience using an outcome-driven, data-backed decision making process to clarify outcomes, define criteria, identify alternatives to monitor results.Â
- SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certified (SAFe 5.0 or 6.0)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience applying these to stakeholder communications
- Schedule: ability to work within one of the following time zones
- Eastern Time Zone
- Central Time Zone
- Mountain Time Zone
- Pacific Time Zone
Desired:
- Typically has Bachelor's (or equivalent) and 8+ years of relevant experience; or Master's (or equivalent) and 7+ years of relevant experience
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP, or other advanced related project management or SAFe certification
- SAFe SPC Training or Consulting experience or SAFe Release Train Engineer experience
- Experience with Jira, BI tools, or Project Management tools
Location
This role will be remote, and based in the USA.
Approximately 10% travel is anticipated.Â

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado: $160,080 - $200,100.
- This role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.Â
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. Â
