Private Duty Nurse

We specialize in private duty nursing, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality, individualized care that promotes overall well-being and independence. As a Private Duty Nurse with Light Within Home Health, we encourage experienced candidates to apply, but training will be provided for those who are new to private duty nursing. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to our clients in the comfort of their homes. This role involves providing one-on-one care, closely monitoring the patient's health, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct/participate in comprehensive patient assessments to develop personalized care plans 2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician 3. Monitor vital signs and assess the patient's overall health status regularly 4. Provide skilled nursing care, including wound care, catheter care, and other specialized procedures 5. Collaborate with the patient's family and caregivers to ensure continuity of care 6. Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care 7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records 8. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other support staff 9. Adapt to changing patient needs and respond promptly to emergencies 10. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients 11. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 1. Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. 2. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 3. Current RN license in good standing in Washington State. 4. Previous experience in nursing is encouraged, but training will be provided for candidates new to private duty or home healthcare 5. Strong clinical and critical thinking skills 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team 8. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care 9.
