Position Summary:
Operate and maintain the pasteurizer and related equipment within the plant, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. Collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally—both verbally and in writing. Support departmental production goals while ensuring a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor dairy processing equipment, ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality standards
• Report equipment malfunctions, accidents, and safety concerns promptly
• Maintain strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SQF procedures, and PPE requirements
• Perform CIP/SIP and manual cleaning; reassemble equipment for safe, sterile use
• Conduct environmental sanitation and preventive maintenance on valves, filters, and other components
• Monitor product specifications (e.g., fats, solids, allergens) and collect QA samples
• Accurately complete required documentation and communicate issues proactively
• Troubleshoot basic to moderate equipment issues and operate machinery efficiently
• Prioritize cleanliness, safety, and quality to minimize downtime and maximize throughput
• Support SQF system implementation and continuous improvement efforts

• Work safely and efficiently to keep production moving
• Follow all duties to ensure safe, high-quality products that meet Rex Creamery, Federal, State, and SQF standards
• Report any food safety or quality issues promptly
• Support team members to maintain a safe and efficient process
• Understand job procedures and ask questions when unsure
• Use a company radio to report issues during your shift
• Show mechanical skill and work comfortably in tight spaces
• Always wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.38 - $30.00 per hour
