Product Delivery – QA

About this role:

We’re looking for an Product Delivery QA  with strong  technical expertise  to develop and maintain the test scripts and code which underpins the various load testing capabilities, from front-end applications to API services, data sources and infrastructure and everything in between. You will  join a leading client as they take on major programs of work, which are anticipated to run for the next 12 months. 

$800-1000 per day, depending on experience. Initial 6-month contract which is highly likely to extend.

The role is on a flexible work arrangement, mostly remote unless required to visit the head office.

In this role you will:

• Deliver strong testing and tools capability to empower and assist staff in using those tools from your immediate team all the way to the wider organisation

• From CI/CD, to cloud capability to data and data visualisation you’ll be expected to challenge yourself to deliver quality code and capability in multiple facets and multiple languages

•  Drive understanding of the relationships of all the components in the full stack across different technology departments

• Utilise that knowledge and experience to be at the forefront of helping triage and remediate production issues.

• Provide inputs into future state deliverables such as infrastructure capacity plans and usage modelling.

•  Identify risks in the physical and logical design of our production and non-production stacks and what mitigations may need to be enacted.

• Help the client in the transition to deliver solutions that are highly scalable, resilient and recoverable through your design and solutions reviews or testing outcomes. 

• Work collaboratively with delivery and operational teams to plan, test and report on performance testing outcomes

•  Utilise a range of data sources to derive statistical workload models on how our customers have used or will use our applications.

Technical Requirements

Essential

•  Experience in delivering quality code and adhering to internal software development practices
•   Experienced in creating or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins, GitHub and how to integrate testing within a pipeline
• Experienced in performance testing and analysis - Including Gatling.io and Apache JMeter
•  Active knowledge of utilizing version control software (Git)
• Strong understanding and experience in *nix based operating systems
• Understanding of networking terminology and concepts such differences between protocols, CIDRs and subnetting, network security
• Excellent understanding and experience with Agile methodology and practices
• Familiarity with working in public cloud environments

Desired

• Working knowledge of automation test frameworks especially for mobile applications
• Experienced in development of native mobile applications
• Familiarity with log shipping and analysis tools
• Ability to write and modify SQL queries to suit the data requirements

Experience

•  Demonstrated quality coding experience and ability to rapidly adapt to coding in different languages

• Have worked with developing or testing multiple different applications and systems across the full solution stack

• Proven experience with QA practices including test case development, execution and defect triage.

• 5+ years experience in performance engineering
