Product Designer

The Azure Quantum team is redefining what is possible with technology-creating unprecedented possibilities to solve humanity's most complex challenges. Our team combines hardware innovation with software technologies and Azure services to build a scalable quantum computer in an industry-leading quantum ecosystem.
We're looking for a Product Designer to join the team. In this role, you'll be developing and ideating usable, seamless, elegant and impactful design solutions deeply rooted in user needs. • Create and develop design concepts and specifications that optimize the emotional and functional experience of the Azure Quantum product
• Produce visual designs from concept through delivery and sustainment, supporting interaction designs for hardware and software-based experiences
• Create and communicate compelling product stories and narratives for different audiences
• Gather, corral, and synthesize multiple viewpoints to develop a holistic end-to-end experience that reflect established components and design patterns.
• Contribute to design thought leadership in areas including concepting, defining key workflows, developing information architecture and navigation, structured content, visual systems, and content patterns.
• Strive for clean, focused and inspiring solutions, designing through all phases of the product cycle. Conceptualize and design original ideas that bring simplicity and ease of use to complex design issues.
• Contribute to our broader design team's creative processes, as well as our strong cultural values around diversity, inclusion, transparency and growth mindset.
• Drive for excellence while never losing sight of the human side of the equation and what it means to be a great teammate and partner.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Product Design where you have actively taken a human-centric approach.
• Ability to articulate your design thinking using a variety of mediums (e.g. design mocks, interaction flows, detailed prototypes, and specifications), as well as the customer value
• A passion for incrementally growing your UX design skills through explorations in interaction design, information design, information architecture, defining workflows and customer journeys, storyboards, visual design and micro-interactions
• Enthusiasm in partnering and sharing your knowledge of the iterative design process with diverse team members including program managers, engineers, customers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Figma, a working understanding of HTML, and experience with agile engineering methods
• A portfolio or work samples that illustrate how you have contributed to ideating, prototyping, and refining pixel-perfect solutions while utilizing design system components
