Mission:

This role will build, empower, and lead the Product team within our insurance agency, Eversurance.  You will be a major driver of strategic, transformative growth for EverQuote overall by building an industry leading suite of tools for Advisors and innovative experiences for insurance shoppers looking to protect life’s most important assets.

You envision, design, deliver, plan, and drive tech innovations to enable critical business operations. You own the roadmap, adoption, operation, business value, and life cycle of platforms and systems at EverQuote. You own relationships with the users of your technology and you partner with stakeholders to define and execute a tech-driven strategy that drives value-multiplied output for our business. You are data-driven in your thinking, and lead discussions with data. You will build partnerships -- up, down, and across -- with Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Engineers, and Customers. You will define metrics to measure progress and value of engineering output and regularly provide direct visibility to senior leadership on all aspects of your programs.

You must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, be analytical and possess excellent problem-solving skills. You communicate with clarity, both orally and in writing, and excel in stakeholder relationship management. You have a strong insurance background, with experience in agile software development cycles and in managing and delivering large cross-functional programs. You have grit, are prepared to handle rapid-changes in an evolving environment, and are able to respond to escalations with data and causal analysis.

You will develop and drive toward appropriate measures. Your organization will become an engine for business value and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer needs and develop strategies to meet customer demands, work with the necessary departments to implement the latest technology, and monitor progress
  • Carry the voice of customer in every conversation and decision, ensuring we build world class products that our customers love and value
  • Own and execute the product roadmap for the Eversurance Advisor Platform, building towards the overall team strategy and vision
  • Develop new features to meet emerging needs and technologies while proactively identifying gaps/opportunities using a data driven approach
  • Drive strategic platform communications internally/externally
  • Understand and drive adoption of best in class Agile processes; work closely with engineering to ensure the right outcomes
  • Work closely with other teams & functions to coordinate dependencies and remove obstacles for your team along the way
  • Possess a continuous learner and continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of engineering, product management, or relevant experience at an Internet and/or Technology company
  • 3+ years of experience in the SAAS company, insurance company background is a plus
  • Previous people management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Broad technical expertise, including familiarity with web front end, web services, and back-end application infrastructure
  • Previous experience working on technical platforms and defining requirements for complex systems
  • Previous experience in an Agile software development setting
  • Deep experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver distinctive impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven ability to think strategically and methodically execute solutions
  • Fluency in Google Sheets and SQL for self-service data analysis purposes
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization including executive teams
  • History of teamwork and a bias for action

The base compensation range for this role is $150,000-$185,000 plus equity (RSUs). We also have an Open PTO policy, employer retirement match with generous vesting, plus more!
