Job Description
Proton.ai is revolutionizing wholesale distribution. Distributors sell nearly every physical good you come across. Key to the economy, they make up over 28% of GDP. But there’s a problem. Selling as a distributor is complicated. Distributors carry hundreds of thousands of SKUs, making it impossible for distributors to know what their customers need. Proton cuts through this complexity with AI. We provide a solution that modernizes distributors' sales efforts. Distributors using our software get a measurable 10X ROI on their investment in Proton.
Our company is in hyper-growth mode. We've had significant year-over-year revenue growth, and we raised a $20M Series A backed by Felicis Ventures (investors in Twitch, Shopify, Opendoor, and many others) and Battery Ventures. Needless to say, it’s an exciting time to join the Proton.ai team.
The RoleProton is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our fast-growing SaaS team! Reporting directly to our CEO, this Product Manager will work within our existing product team and bring a technical product management skill set to the team, while managing most of the enterprise customizability workstream (workflow engine, custom fields, etc).
This role will be responsible for developing product features and working with the engineering and design team daily to find insights that can be translated into product features. The Product Manager will be responsible for discovering, defining, and delivering complex data features to enhance our product.
We're a remote-first company and hire people from around the world. We are looking for someone based in the US for this role due to the potential amount of travel required and the majority of our customers being based in the US.
What you'll do- Understand our customers better than anyone else - leverage that understanding to build consensus around where we should focus.
- Own the product development process from initial research to release for both new features and iterations of existing features.
- Collaborate with product marketing to launch new functionality to our customers, customer success team and sales team.
- Independent: You take ownership of your own work and thrive when given creative freedom. You like to experiment with new concepts, and don't mind making mistakes, so long as you learn from them.
- Cooperative: You love helping teammates work towards the common goal. You know that no one has all the answers, and you are comfortable supporting teammates who are outside of their domain and having them do the same for you.
- Agile: Things move quickly when you're growing as quickly as we are. You can adapt to new and interesting challenges that you face every day, even when they're different from the ones you faced yesterday.
- Long-term customer focus: Last but not least, you can think beyond what customers ask toward solving the customer's long-term challenges.
- Experience in an early-stage startup environment--preferably in a role focused on product or software engineering. Our ideal hire is someone who has joined a seed or series A start-up in the past, stayed through B or C, and loved every minute of it!
- Prior Technical experience, specifically the ability to code at a basic level, preferably with some statistics / ML experience and understands APIs.
- Solid business and strategic intuition combined with problem-solving, listening and communication skills.
- Ability to rapidly produce product concepts and prototypes (both low and high fidelity).
- Ability to be strategic as well as hands-on and tactical. Able to execute quickly in an extremely fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Competitive Salaries + Company Stock Options - we want to pay you well (and equitably!) and make you feel like an owner.
- Flexible Schedule - we think high levels of autonomy, responsibility and working asynchronously foster an amazing workplace.
- Unlimited PTO + 10 Company Paid Holidays - we even have tools implemented to detect burnout to make sure folks recharge regularly.
- 401k with Employer Contribution (US only, for now!) - we know work isn’t forever, so we contribute up to 3% of your salary to help you prepare whether you directly contribute or not.
- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - we cover one medical plan 100% in the USA and cover a premium plan 100% for international employees (for US- this includes a HSA!) and cover 50% for dependents on all our medical plan options.
- $450 Quarterly Remote Working Stipend - to iterate and upgrade your WFH setup, cover cell phone/internet bills or even to go towards Coworking space!
- 12 Weeks Fully Paid Parental Leave - that goes for primary and secondary caregivers; even if you’re adopting or fostering!
- Biannual Company Paid off-sites - time for us to be together, brainstorm, and make magic happen.
