This position works out of our Santa Clara, CA location in the Structural Heart division.

What You'll Work On

  • The Product Manager is a driver of the success for the Structural Interventions product line in the Structural Heart business unit. Key therapies are for congenital heart defects such as PDA, ASD and VSD.
  • This position will work closely with the sales team and be responsible for aspects of US strategy implementation plus Forecasting, Financial and Marketing Plan Development, Sales Materials and Training, Pricing, and Materials Management.
  • Maintain US product portfolio expertise including market sizes and trend share, customer needs and targeting, product performance, benefits/weaknesses, and positioning, balancing internal and external needs for each product.
  • Provide on-going field support and will focus on growing the market awareness for Structural Interventions and related disease states, including launching new products.
  • Success will be measured against sales and margin expectations, sales force competency/knowledge level and development of marketing programs which enhance field and customer experience.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of US competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs.
  • Develop strategies to address product performance issues.
  • Build product demand through focused market development tactics partnering with field sales
  • Update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT situation assessment.
  • Develop and implement tradeshow/conference strategies, engaging key opinion leaders
  • Support launch readiness by developing product inventory timing, marketing programs, and working with communications manager to develop promotional collateral.
  • Take a leadership role on project teams to work closely with the project manager to drive accountability and team achievement of goals and milestones.
  • Manage creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new US materials.
  • Partner with regulatory colleagues in the review and negotiation of materials to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Will have marketing and budget responsibility for designated products.
  • Drive to deliver Sales, Margin, and key performance metrics for SI products.
  • Will be expected to be responsive and able to directly address questions and requests of senior management.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior marketing experience within medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Bachelors' Degree with 4+ years related marketing or product management experience. MBA with 1+ years of related experience also considered.
  • Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
  • Substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills.
  • Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a new product launch.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.

  • Able to understand technical and scientific information.
  • Willing to understand and comply with Regulatory requirements.
  • Able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product sales.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.

$114,300 - $228,500
