About the role

Dune is on a mission to make crypto data accessible. We do that by building the most powerful data solution the world has ever seen, and by fostering and growing an amazing community of analysts and builders (aka wizards). Thousands of wizards query data and generate insights on top of Dune’s datasets. Many get remunerated, whether through bounties, contracts or a full time job, effectively to work on Dune.

The Data Experience team is responsible for elevating the user experience of Dune’s data to make wizards more effective, and help them uncover more insights. This means anything from building new datasets for emerging sectors, improving existing ones (such as dex.trades or nft.trades, as some of Dune’s most widely used tables), championing the addition of new kinds of data that would increase the utility of Dune, or collaborating with top wizards and protocol teams to uphold the integrity of Dune’s tables. As the Data Experience PM, your product is nothing else than Dune’s data.

As a PM of Data Experience you will play a key role in ensuring a world class experience for our wizards by giving them the best datasets in the ecosystem. You’ll partner with our Engineering Lead and work from within the Engineering team to deliver an exceptional experience for wizards.

In this role you will

• Lead the team’s vision and strategy, and align the team around it.

• Drive the discovery and scoping process of new initiatives, turning ambiguous goals into a clear and convincing action plan.

• Manage the team’s backlog, carefully balancing the execution of long term objectives with short term work.

• Act as the team’s interface with external stakeholders (meaning all top teams in the space as well as a grassroots user movements) to collect feedback and translate it into meaningful, actionable insight that the team can use to improve the overall data experience.

• Help increase the team’s operational rigor by finding and setting metrics to measure success and inform future Product decisions.

You might be a great fit for this role if you have

• Strong empathy for users and other stakeholders.

• A solid background in Product Management and/or Software Engineering.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Prioritization and problem solving skills.

• Experience working with data and databases.

• Crypto domain knowledge.

Not required but a plus if you have

• Experience working as a PM on an analytical or data product.

• Experience working as a data analyst.

• Knowledge of how blockchains, smart contracts and such things work.

• Used Dune before to create queries.
