As a Product Manager II - Video, you will create the strategy for video as a platform across Paylocity products, based on an outside-in market point-of-view anchored in the customer. You will convey a clear and compelling narrative and an enthusiasm for relentlessly delivering customer value. You will demonstrate accountable ownership, unmitigated curiosity, a strong desire for continuous improvement, and the ability to think strategically about our products while empowering and leading others to do the same.

Who you are:
At Paylocity, Product Managers identify the most valuable problems to solve, enable their team to ship and iterate high-quality solutions quickly, and validate market impact. They leverage customer insights to deeply understand their problems, define the correct priorities and create a clear product brief that excites and motivates!

• Skilled at defining measures to identify user patterns and learn from user data
• Equally skilled at dreaming (and articulating) big, starting (and articulating) small, and working incrementally to achieve outcomes
• Experienced and preferred working in a player/coach role in which you regularly sought input from customers and other stakeholders (sales, service, partner teams), defined acceptance criteria, provided product direction to development team members and coached product owners through similar activities
• Always brings a point-of-view formed by mix of data, experience, and intuition
• Eager to keep up with current market and technology trends, able to adapt accordingly
• Demonstrates confidence in successfully interacting at the CEO level; curious enough to ask questions and alter point-of-view appropriately
• Enthusiastic about quality and controls
• Steadfast in your desire for production stability
• Highly emotionally intelligent, possessing the ability to adjust style to meet the needs of the audience
• Supportive and savvy about change communication
• Proactive in communication, gap identification, and risk mitigation by holder engineering counterparts accountable.

During the first six months at Paylocity, you will:

• Create a product brief based on a deep dive into discovery, customer interviews, and competitive analysis for product areas
• Prioritize product solutions based on problems to be solved based on highest customer needs by demographic in Productboard.
• Collaborate with Product Analyst to validate thinking through collected customer data/feedback.
• Work with design to come up with UI/UX solutions in Whimsical/Figma to solve problems that can work cross functionality in the product suite for all features on the roadmap for the next 6-12 months.
• Evangelize feature-level strategy to stakeholders through written 12-18 month document and accompanied product roadmap timeline in Productboard to ensure leadership alignment.
• Work with platform engineering to ensure that the proposed solution will improve product team speed to implementation while delivering multi use application.
• Operate autonomously on product delivery and research-oriented tasks such as feature briefs, jira stories, sales and marketing collateral, and go-to-market strategy
• Work with internal and external customers to fully understand and conceptualize features to validate UX, UI and problems to be solved through Customer as Co-Creator sessions.
• Identify dependencies for cross-product initiatives that will impact and drive synergies across multiple teams through Productboard and monthly product updates.
• Inspire the company and activate the org through internal product demos and external product webinars such as Sales Summit, Amp It Up Thursdays, and Product Spotlights.
• Deliver new video experiences that will increase utilization and overall stickiness of the core Paylocity product modules.

Preferred Experience:

• Product management experience in a high growth Saas company
• Experience in video recording, editing, podcasting, and live streaming capabilities
• Deep understanding of both live and asynchronous video as the main communication medium in a fully remote world
• Experience integrating core functionalities through a marketplace or custom APIs
• Experience identifying, tracking, and reporting success metrics aligned to overall product strategy
• Experience writing product release briefs for go to market teams
• Experience working with platform applications
• Experience building product experiences in both web and mobile applications

Additional Experience:

• Experience with Pendo for analytics
• Experience with Jira for backlog management
• Experience with Productboard for insights, prioritization, road mapping, and communication

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $115,944- $179,968/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
