Product Manager, Measurement-Based Care
Job Description
Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access. We make it easy for people to find quality in-network mental health care by removing historic barriers faced by mental health providers, payers, and patients.Â
1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the vast majority do not get the care they need. The primary reason is cost: the majority of therapists do not accept insurance, meaning paying for therapy is prohibitively expensive for prospective patients. This is where we got our start – Headway has built the first software-enabled network of therapists who accept health insurance, making it easy for therapists to grow their practices, and possible for patients to find quality care they can afford.Â
We launched in April of 2019 and are now powering 300,000+ appointments per month. To scale our vision, we’ve raised over $100 million in funding from a16z, Thrive, Accel, and Google Ventures.

About The Role
As we rapidly grow the number of appointments on Headway, we’re looking for a product manager to help us shape the future of measurement-based care at Headway—in partnership with our providers & payer partners. Measurement-based care empowers our providers to evolve patient care based on how patients are progressing, measured through patient reported outcome data. As the product lead on this charter, you will be responsible for setting the vision in how we inspire our providers with unique insights and tools to help them practice at the top of their license.Â
If you aspire to build innovative product experiences in uncharted territory to help patients improve faster, this is the role for you.
What you’ll do at Headway:
- Develop a vision, strategy, and roadmap to drive the charter for measurement-based care at Headway
- Design and build product experiences to elevate our providers with powerful tools and insights to tailor their care for their clients
- Define how we engage with patients to collect and understand their clinical outcomes
- Closely join forces with cross-functional partners to build the right experiences with our providers and operate with transparency, as well as leverage clinical outcome data to ensure patients are getting matched to the best providers for them
You’ll be great for this role if you:
- You have 5+ years of experience building user-first, quality experiences
- You love navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with an optimistic and energizing attitude
- You’re an incredibly fast learner and have the natural curiosity to quickly dive into new topics
- You possess deep user empathy and understand how critical it is to build with our providers
We believe a team's strength is in its people, and we cannot achieve this mission without a team that reflects the diversity of this problem - across race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, age, national origin, religion, family status, disability, military status, and experience.
Headway employees work remotely across the US, with the option to work from our NYC HQ.Â
Headway is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. As part of this commitment, Headway will ensure that persons with disabilities are provided with reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and/or to receive other benefits and privileges of employment, please contact [email protected].
