Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access. 

1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the vast majority do not get the care they need. The primary reason is cost: the majority of therapists do not accept insurance, meaning paying for therapy is prohibitively expensive for prospective patients. That’s why Headway is building the first software-enabled network of therapists who accept health insurance, making it easy for therapists to grow their practices, and possible for patients to find quality care they can afford. 

We launched in April of 2019 and are now powering 200,000+ appointments per month. To scale our vision, we’ve raised over $100 million in funding from a16z, Thrive, Accel, and Google Ventures.

Creative, thoughtful, and seamless products have engendered love from Headway’s providers, patients, and payers from day one. As we scale our mission to rewire mental healthcare, we are looking for a Product Manager to join the team and help build upon this love and design new products for payers (insurance organizations). While you will initially begin as an individual contributor, you will have the opportunity to hire & manage a team over the next 6-12 months.

As the product manager for the Payer team, you will be responsible for defining and building out a new line of business for Headway working with enterprise-level payer partners. You’ll understand core payer needs, define strategy & a roadmap for a new team at Headway, and build new products for and with payers. To be successful, you come from a background of B2B SaaS working with massive enterprise partners and are excited about diving deep into the world of healthcare to creatively define what the future of behavioral health looks like for payers.

You will:

  • Help grow the product team and define product culture at Headway.
  • Build thoughtful products from zero to one in a scrappy, fast-paced environment.
  • Lead a new product area. This will include defining a clear strategy with some of the biggest payers in the country as we build new products for and with them to define their behavioral healthcare arm.

You will love this role if:

  • You have 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, working with large enterprise customers, and a passion for healthcare
