About the Job
The Product Marketing Director is responsible for driving the messaging, awareness and go-to-market strategies for OpenSesame solutions and enabling our sales team and channel partners to drive market adoption. This position will develop value propositions and messaging that resonate with market and prospect needs and translate product features into customer benefits. Finally, this position will work cross functionally on business opportunities, alongside other department directors and managers.
Performance Objectives:
Conduct an Audit of GTM Plans and Optimize - Within the first 30 days, you will conduct an audit of our current GTM plans and make recommendations to optimize and improve them. Ongoing objectives are to refine current plans and to build new plans and strategies to improve awareness, demand, and adoption.
Develop Product Positioning and Messaging - Within the first 30-45 days, you will refine our current product positioning and messaging, updating internal and external materials. Ongoing objectives are to build new tools and assets for use externally and internally that highlight our benefits and drive demand and adoption and position against competitors.
Partner with Marketing on Prospect and Customer Campaigns - Work with your marketing partners to ensure successful execution of all aspects of the product launch plan and ongoing plan. Oversee marketing materials for OpenSesame products.
Lend Expertise to Product Teams - Within the first 60 days, you will lend your new product expertise to the product team by contributing to the product roadmap. By conducting ongoing market research and customer interviews, you will add insights to the roadmap and be able to translate features and functionality into core product marketing messages. Ongoing objectives include conducting training sessions with the sales team on product features and benefits and competitive landscape.
Build a Skilled Team - Within the first 60 days, you will build out your team structure for the next five years and partner with marketing leadership to advise on overall team structure to help support product development and product marketing.
