Reporting to the Product Manager, the Product Owner will be supporting the Remittance Viewer component within our Essentials portal. The Product Owner is responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders within Availity to ensure product needs are met. The Product Owner will work with dedicated scrum teams to shape the product roadmap, define project scope, and lead the overall roadmap execution efforts. This person will be responsible for creating user stories, leading standups, planning, and refining backlog

To be qualified for this position you: 

  • Have 3-5 years of experience working in a healthcare technology role, ideally in a Product Owner position.

  • Understand EOBs, 835s, and other X12 transactions.

  • Have experience working in Agile/Scrum environment / leading agile ceremonies.

  • Can gather technical and functional requirements and have experience writing user stories.

  • Have strong communication and organization skills.

  • Can prioritize and work on concurrent projects at a given time.

  • Can work independently.

  • You are adaptable and are flexible to changing priorities.

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.

  • Experience with UI/UX.

  • Scrum or Product Owner Certification.

  • You are a self-starter.

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments but also like to have fun.

  • Continuous improvement mindset and ready to make our processes better.

You will be: 

  • Participating in numerous scrum meetings with internal stakeholders.

  • Providing status updates of issues and progress

  • Supporting scrum teams building and maintaining Essentials features.

  • Leading calls, facilitating key deliverables, UAT as part of delivery process, etc. 

  • Refining requirements into actionable definitions 

  • Participating in agile standups/ceremonies, refinement, and maintaining the backlog and
    writing user stories

  • Analyzing customer base for usage and opportunities of improvement.

  • Participating in releases.

  • Assisting defining onboarding and improve workflows.

  • Supporting multiple, concurrent projects as needed.
