nThe following position is to join our Corporate or Research Center Team.

Raytheon Technologies has an opening for a SAFe Agile Product Owner (Manager, Business Systems and Transformation). The Product Owner is the member of the Engineering & Technology Application Services (ETAS) ART and is SAFe agile team member who serves as the customer proxy responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders to define, prioritize, and validate completion of stories in the Team Back log.

Job Description:
  • Gather requirements, develop requirements specifications, and develop functional designs
  • Monitors progress of the capability through its development lifecycle and assists development as necessary to ensure solution(s) delivered satisfy business requirements
  • Contributes to Vision, Roadmap, and Return on for Engineering Systems and Applications.
  • Owns scrum team backlog. Responsible for building, editing, and maintaining the team backlog. Consisting mostly of user stories, defects, and enablers.
  • Works with Product Management and other stakeholders to groom and prioritize team backlog based on user value, time, and risks.
  • Ensures that the team is aligned to the PI Objectives, and Iteration goals are clearly defined and communicated
  • Verifies that stories are in the proper format and are in line with the customer vision and scope.
  • Define acceptance criteria and acceptance tests for program backlog and accepts/reject stories when completed.
  • Provide clarifications necessary to assist the agile team with their story estimates and sequencing.
  • Define and implements improvement stories that will increase the velocity and quality of the program.
  • Producing the system demo to show the most critical aspects of the solution to the stakeholders
  • Work with limited supervision, and take ownership of agile team achieving feature's benefit hypothesis
  • Translate requirements and use cases into test conditions for system, performance, and validation testing.
  • Identify and communicate any cross area or cross release issues that may affect other project areas
  • Participate during test cycles to ensure that the application is tested against the functional requirements
  • Configure the Training Environment and Test Training Courses
  • Serve as a liaison to the business community
  • Defines 'to be' business processes
  • Creates use cases and test conditions

Required Skills:

Minimum of 8+ years in digital agile arena and a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and minimum 5+ years related work experience.
  • Ability to develop feature acceptance criteria which validates benefit hypothesis
  • Ability to develop story acceptance test with expected results to validate story completion
  • Ability to transform customer requirements into Features at the functional level
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills
  • Desire and ability to work as a team member is essential with demonstrated team leadership skills a definite plus

Desired Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of Model Based Design (MBD) and Model Based Engineering (MBE) concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Engineering Design processes.
  • Ability to analyze and design business processes
  • Experience and working knowledge of Jira and Confluence

Required Education:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, computer science, technology, or mathematics (STEM) or related field or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
