The Opportunity
This position is based in Alameda, CA in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. The healthcare landscape has dramatically evolved during the last several years. Consumers expect to have more control over their information and care decisions in a personalized and accessible environment. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing projects for our Customer Experience Foundation for C360 initiative. This position will report to the Customer Experience Program Director. This critical role will provide project management leadership for cross-functional workstreams/agile teams including marketing, commercial, customer service, IT, privacy, regulatory, quality, innovation, insights, product development, and third-party agencies. This role requires strong project management, change management and process improvement skills.
What you'll work on
- Provide support on the key activities for the implementation of self-service, Identity, profile, consent and global web installations/integrations.
- Foster a change management environment that effectively delivers change while, accelerating outcomes, and minimizing transitional disruption with impacted stakeholders
- Deliver project excellence by incorporating best practices in project management to meet and or exceed customer needs. Identify process issues and recommend improvements to team members and management. Resolve project team conflicts.
- Monitor overall progress and communicate the results achieved to senior management.
- Develop and manage project plan to meet deliverables, including cross-functional project timeline and follow-up with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Help to prioritize activities among several programs to to balance resource availability, program status and schedule, and business need.
- Prepares and presents information on activities, issues, and risks in the projects being managed on an as-needed basis to assure the continuity of projects. Raises issues to the appropriate level of management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or a minimum of 7 years relevant experience in a discipline appropriate to the project environment.
- Minimum of 7 years project management experience with at least 3 years of experience leading projects involving the application of general business principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a large/complex company environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in business or a technical or scientific discipline or equivalent experience relevant to project area preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Design Thinking and Agile certification preferred.
- MBA considered a plus.
- Commercial, marketing, customer service, customer experience, insights, data & analytics in a health care/medical device company preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization within a variety of departments.
- Cross-functional experience in areas of Commercial, Marketing, Insights, Data & Analytics, IT, Privacy, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Customer Service.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
