Role Description

Business Foundations Operations supports programs across the organization. We are looking for a program manager to help support these efforts. In this position, you will be the key communicator, liaison and business operations lead for the Head of Security. This role will partner with the administrative partner to keep the leader organized and prepared, and lead programs to support the Security team’s mission and vision. This role requires confidentiality, strong judgment and strategic skills at planning and executing on a broad range of tasks. You will work independently and within a team on projects and lead ongoing programs. This will include planning and drafting communications, coordinating and updating training, disseminating information, coordination of the Security team’s business planning, strategic offsite ownership, and monthly business reviews, etc. You will need to work backwards from key deadlines and have the ability to identify risks, hand-offs, bottlenecks and opportunities to innovate in this business process.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to build partnerships. They will have excellent project management and analytical skills and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and deliver independently on both strategic and tactical program initiatives. The candidate should be organized, comfortable establishing processes and guidelines, collaborative, able to work autonomously with limited guidance, and able to work backwards from the customer to make complex data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate strategic planning sessions for programs that align on key problems to solve, set a clear vision for the future, and support alignment of annual business and planning cycles. Conducting outreach to cross-functional teams to ensure they are included in these planning and execution efforts.
  • Coordinate the commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill strategies.
  • Collect, organize and provide data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
  • Develop organizational and business performance metrics.
  • Track organizational staffing forecasts and budget requirements.
  • Draft executive level presentation materials.
  • Develop and maintain a deep partnership with the Business Foundation’s Chief of Staff.
  • Provides mentorship and leadership for the administrative team across the functions.
  • Special Projects, as requested. 
Requirements
  • 7+ years experience in operations, business planning, executive office or similar.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with key stakeholders.
  • Proven program management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once. 
  • Able to drive projects forward, provide structure to ambiguity, and resourceful in finding the right information and stakeholders.
  • Business minded: critical thinker and problem solver with a general understanding of business priorities and the ability to understand the implications of decisions across the business.
  • Strong relationship building skills with demonstrated history of delivering projects cross-functionally and within a team.
  • Self-driven, have a natural curiosity and be eager to learn, and with a proactive approach to work. 
  • Must demonstrate resourcefulness, timeliness, and ability to proactively anticipate needs with a minimal amount of direction in a fast-paced environment. Capable of working across organizations and with diverse personalities required.
  • Meets/exceeds leadership principles requirements for this role.
  • Meets/exceeds functional/program management depth and complexity for this role.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Total Rewards

For candidates hired in San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $148,800 - $175,000 - $201,300. 

For candidates hired in the following locations: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $133,900 - $157,500 - $181,100. 

For candidates hired in all other US locations, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is currently $119,000 - $140,000 - $161,000. 

Range(s) is subject to change. Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. 

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
