Summary

The incumbent serves as an administrative staff resource to the regional Mobile Prosthetic & Orthotic Care (MoPOC) program, which is a VHA Office of Rural Health Enterprise-Wide Initiative. The incumbent's duty station is at any approved MoPOC site within the VA enterprise. The incumbent's administrative responsibilities include planning, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the MoPOC clinicians under the direction of the MoPOC Program Manager.

For GS-6
  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes:
    • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing;
    • Ability to present information, gather information, make recommendations and coordinate with services/department;
    • Knowledge of the human anatomy and physiology;
    • Utilization of Microsoft Office;
    • Knowledge and experience in utilizing software suites for data collection, patient care, cost tracking, and for monitoring metrics.
For GS-7:
  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes:
    • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing;
    • Ability to present information, gather information, make recommendations and coordinate with services/department;
    • Knowledge of the human anatomy and physiology;
    • Utilization of Microsoft Office;
    • Knowledge and experience in utilizing software suites for data collection, patient care, cost tracking, and for monitoring metrics;
    • Knowledge in fund control point; and
    • Ability to multi-task.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 and GS-07 levels.
