Position Specific Description
This position is part of the Strategic Initiatives Team that is responsible for the development and implementation of systems solutions that support the operations of the Revenue Recovery Group in Customer Service. The main focus is the implementation and support of SAP business solutions but there are some opportunities to work with other cross-functional systems.
The ideal candidate must have good communication skills and must be adaptable to work with both the Process Owners who define the scope of work and the IT resources that develop and implement the final solutions.
In this position you will:
- Document the systems requirements for both projects and production support in a matter that is clear to both the Process Owners and IT functional and technical resources.
- Work in conjunction with the Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts to ensure the designed solution meets the need and provides the expected quality and helps achieve the desired benefits.
- Negotiate alternatives when presented with systems limitations and to avoid scope creep.
- Write test plans and execute test cases.
- Assist IT resources with the troubleshooting of issues and possible missing requirements.
- Support the implementation of the solution and monitor its execution in the Production environment before full hand-off to the Process Owners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree with area of focus in Business or IT Systems
- IT Project life-cycle experience
- High-level SAP systems knowledge

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports daily system operations within a specify discipline on a continual basis
- Writes, translates, and codes software programs and applications consistently to specifications and development standards per specific discipline
- Writes programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary
- Assists in defining software development project plans, including scopes, schedules, and implementation
- Liaises with network administrators, systems analysts, database administrators, external vendors, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems
- Develops an understanding of relevant system administration tasks including backup/recovery of systems and disaster recovery
- Designs, runs and monitors software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
- Conducts research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement, development and maintenance efforts
- Meets attendance and storm duty requirements and has the ability to work extended hours
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
