This role is centered on driving agile delivery excellence across complex, mission-driven software projects within a highly collaborative consulting environment. You will act as a key facilitator between technical teams, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring smooth execution of development initiatives from planning through deployment. The position combines Agile leadership, project coordination, and hands-on problem-solving to remove delivery blockers and maintain team momentum. You will support high-impact civic technology initiatives that modernize government digital services and improve public-sector outcomes. Working in cross-functional, fast-paced teams, you will help translate user needs into actionable delivery plans while ensuring quality and alignment with business objectives. Accountabilities:
You will lead Agile delivery activities, ensuring smooth coordination across software development teams, stakeholders, and client environments while supporting project execution from discovery through deployment. You will also act as a Scrum Master, facilitating collaboration, removing blockers, and enabling high-performing, self-organizing teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
- Coordinating project execution activities across development, QA, and stakeholder teams
- Tracking project performance, reporting key metrics, and ensuring delivery transparency
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and delivery blockers
- Supporting user acceptance testing, training, and production deployment activities
- Coaching teams to improve collaboration, efficiency, and Agile maturity
- Translating user and business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements
- 7+ years of experience in project management, Agile delivery, business analysis, or related roles
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and software development lifecycle practices
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master or leading Agile ceremonies in cross-functional teams
- Ability to interpret technical concepts, web architectures, and system dependencies
- Strong communication, facilitation, and team leadership skills
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines in IT projects
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Scrum (CSM, CSP), PMI-ACP, PMP, SAFe, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications are a plus
