CACI is seeking a Project Management Fundamentals Facilitator. You will support Naval Shipyard personnel as they develop into project managers
More About the Role
- Collaborate with other facilitators to support delivery of approximately eight Naval Shipyard Project Management Fundamentals (PMF) courses annually. These course are conducted at four different geographical locations and the position requires up to 25% local and CONUS travel to support the PMF course delivery schedule.
- Coordinate all logistics associated with course delivery (e.g., venue contracting and coordination, catering, audio/visual, materials shipping).
- Work with government value stream champions to coordinate the agenda and instructors for each course.
- Ensure a welcoming and engaging learning environment is created for each course.
- Build and develop relationships with integrated stakeholders across the Naval Maintenance Community.
- Participate in bi-weekly planning meetings that include sharing lessons learned from each course.
- Support the timely execution of contract requirements, which includes timely completion of reports and submission of supporting data and metrics.
- Work with business process re-engineers to update current and/or develop new project management practices to ensure process manual keeps pace with the latest/best corporate and PMI project management standards.
- Support/interface with the customer via the telephone, video conferencing, email, chat, and applicable online presence.
- Work site fluctuates between customer site (office, shipyard, aboard ships), CACI office environment, and home site.
- Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with a course facilitation environment to include engaging an audience of up 90 students. Ability to work on a computer for long periods. Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
You'll Bring These Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Interim Secret security clearance and subsequent final DoD Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 5 years of related (training, facilitation, military, shipyard, and/or logistics) work experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective manner.
- Strong customer service orientation. Respectfully engage customers in a manner that achieves successful outcomes.
- Ability to organize work efficiently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to perform successfully independently and as a team member in a demanding work environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience with the Naval Shipyard Project Management Fundamentals Course.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or project management training.
- Professional Facilitator training or certification.
- Experience working in/with Naval Shipyards.
