What You'll Be Doing:
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Required Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering, physics, computer science, physical sciences or mathematics, plus 5+ years of related experience or equivalent experience in lieu of education. A Master's degree will be valued, but is not required.
- Direct project management experience in a complex hardware and software environment is required
- A strong software development background with an in-depth understanding of the software life cycle development process (SDLC) and critical, operational systems management experience is a must
- Experience managing a development, sustainment, and operating environment. In addition to the contract labor category qualification requirements
- Demonstrated experience with multi-site, complex, high availability operational systems
- Demonstrated experience with mission critical, large operational database systems
- Demonstrated Oracle large database design and software development which includes entity relationship, table design and stored procedure knowledge
- Demonstrated experience with software coding in languages such as C, C+, C#, Visual Basic, MSDN, .NET Performing other duties as assigned
- Demonstrated experience with Sun/Solaris/Unix/Linux environments and high availability architectures
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- A complete understanding of procedures and processes connected with running a large mission critical system and at least two years of experience working in the MSNS environment is preferred
- A complete working knowledge of all SOCD (TSA Freedom Center) operating entities is preferred
Our estimated salary range for this position is $116,000-$180,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
