Project Manager
What You Will Do
The Project Manager is the primary client facing resource on Synaptic’s Delivery Excellence team. You will be responsible for managing engagements from three perspectives - Project Management, Client Management, and Team Management. The Project Manager is expected to thoroughly understand Synaptic’s development methodology and be able to effectively manage the process and people to the methodology. The Project Manager is also expected to be knowledgeable about the Salesforce environment (understanding capabilities and limitations) and actively participate in guiding the team and client throughout the lifecycle of the project.
This position requires the ability to perform the following:
- Project Management: lead client engagements with teams of 5-20, (onshore and offshore), create and maintain project budgets, create and maintain resource plans, track work, communicate progress and manage scope. Manage and deliver project using agile framework while owning project RAID. Manage to targeted project margins and revenue.
- Client Management: manage client relationships, become a trusted advisor of the client, and be comfortable with having difficult conversations. Engage and advise clients across all levels of the organization (C-level, VP, Directors, Managers, Developers, Admins, Business partners, etc.). Have a deep understanding of client's business and industry and further the business relationship with Synaptic Advisors. Deliver top-notch CSAT.
- People Management: Effectively chair project ceremonies (planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, grooming, etc.) and manage the team's tasks on a day-to-day basis. Be the point of escalation and lead resolution of any impediments, risks, or issues.
The Project Manager plays a critical role in Synaptic’s success of engagement delivery and client satisfaction and therefore must consistently strive to meet or exceed our clients’ expectations.

Skills and experience you need to be successful
- Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience delivering Salesforce Digital transformation projects with direct responsibility of client relationship
- Experience of working and engaging with stakeholders and sponsors, demonstrated by interpersonal excellence with all levels of seniority - from middle management to board level
- Experience managing budgets, risks, actions, issues, decisions, and timelines
- Managing or leading a team of CRM, Salesforce consultants/developers/testers/admins
- 7+ years of experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and customer service skills
- Ability to adapt and find comfort in dynamic situations
- Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of various, industry standard office tools such as MS Teams, Office, SmartSheet, PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Salesforce Admin Certification
- Scrum Master Certification
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, SmartSheet, and LucidChart
Skills that would be a bonus
- PMP Certification
- Salesforce Consultant Certifications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.).
- Understand key Salesforce cloud, architectural, procedural, security, and environmental concepts
- Big 4 consulting experience
