Job Description

Join VillageMD as an ACO Project Manager working remotely in the US.

Join the frontlines of today's healthcare transformation.

Why VillageMD?

At VillageMD, we're looking for an ACO Project Manager to help us transform the way primary care is delivered and how patients are served. As a national leader on the forefront of healthcare, we've partnered with many of today's best primary care physicians. We're equipping them with the latest digital tools. Empowering them with proven strategies and support. Inspiring them with better practices and consistent results.

We're creating care that's more accessible. Effective. Efficient. With solutions that are value-based, physician-driven and patient-centered. To accomplish this, we're looking for individuals who share our sense of excellence, are ready to embrace change, and never settle for the status quo. Individuals who have the confidence to lead but the humility to never stop learning.

Could this be you?

In this role, the Project Manager will support ACO Operations initiatives by coordinating and overseeing ongoing ACO aligned projects. To accomplish this, you will partner with other leaders across VillageMD while managing program details and deliverables, timelines, the team's bandwidth, and working cross-functionally to help implement initiatives that align with VillageMD’s Accountable Care Organization goals. This role requires a combination of daily project management, strategic and critical thinking, strong communication skills, keen troubleshooting and proactive problem solving.

How you can make a difference:

  • Serve as the central point of communication for assigned projects and programs; adhering to constant communication between internal stakeholders, project delivery resources and agency partners to ensure alignment of objectives and goals.
  • Create customized project plans, tasks, dashboards, deployment frameworks, reports, presentations, and other tools to support and organize key elements of ACO program(s).
  • Identify and escalate roadblocks and challenges to ACO leadership; analyze and recommend solutions to identified barriers.
  • Ensure all workflows, protocols, patient outreach, education and marketing material that tie to assigned projects are in compliance with applicable agreements as well as CMS and federal regulations.
  • Effectively lead internal meetings (e.g. intake, kick-off, daily standup, capacity planning etc.), making important, relevant contributions, and generating collaborative discussion to drive action. Thoroughly document meeting outcomes and next steps.
  • Review communication from CMS and other external advocacy groups and distill prioritized key takeaways into actionable communication based on deep knowledge base of ACO policy and operations with VillageMD.
  • Continuously assess ACO Operations team operational processes, providing feedback and key insights, influencing solutions from the project management viewpoint. Design improvement activities and SOPs to assist team in meeting goals, improving efficiency and standardize operations.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organization, establishing yourself with Enterprise, Market, and external stakeholders as a trusted resource and advisor.

Skills for success:

  • You embody the phrase “getting stuff done”.
  • Are driven by mission orientated projects and programs, such as health disparities and equity.
  • You are a strategic thinker that gets excited building processes, scaling businesses and creating frameworks that enable growth and progress.
  • Developing and owning relationships with key stakeholders while maintaining clear lines of communication to ensure alignment for shared implementation goals and outcomes
  • Master of nuanced communication and soft skills, effectively leading matrixed work groups and diverse teams which include technology, clinical, and operational stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting requirements, performing analysis, managing tasks, and creating process flows
  • You have high emotional intelligence, the ability to forge meaningful relationships, and can successfully navigate diverse stakeholder groups
  • You are highly collaborative, yet skilled at influencing others to achieve results
  • Experience performing under pressure with a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing what you say you will do
  • You are solution-oriented and have a passion for being hands-on in problem-solving and execution

Experience to drive change:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field, public health, or healthcare administration required
  • 5+ years of expertise in, and passion for, value-based care and alternative payment models, with work directly on ACO models highly preferred or 5+ years in healthcare or practice management
  • Demonstrated experience scoping, initializing, and operationalizing large-scale initiatives
  • Proficiency in gathering and documenting requirements, performing analysis, managing tasks, and creating process flows
  • Experience designing and executing program strategies and communicating with data to drive direction, growth, and change.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage and pivot between competing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, a high attention to detail, and critical problem-solving skills to garner credibility and develop strong relationships
  • Desire to be hands-on with a track record of “rolling up your sleeves” to drive desired outcomes
  • Proven experience operating successfully within ambiguity; a results-oriented professional who can make sense of chaos to continually deliver desired results
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and experience leveraging data analytics to solve complex problems
  • A flexible mindset and personality; someone who can demonstrate the ability to think outside the box and formulate creative solutions
  • Proficient utilizing project management software tools (MS-based or Smartsheet) to manage and optimize process workflows and assignments, including maintenance of key project details and data points.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or Quality Improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Model for Improvement) training a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
