The Opportunity

Project Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and driven Project Manager to oversee the design, development, and manufacturing of proprietary CNC robotic-based machines, tools, assembly platforms, jigs, and fixtures used in the production of distribution and medium-sized transformers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering project management, experience with CNC machinery, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the timely and successful delivery of complex projects, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating with customers to meet their needs.

The ideal individual for this position must possess the following:

  • Strong knowledge of CNC robotic systems, machine design, and automation technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with customers to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and provide status updates.
  • Ability to align with company metrics and scaling initiatives.
  • Ability to read and analyze reports and make data-based decisions.
  • Ability to solve issues at the root level and be able to see trends.
  • Possess customer interface abilities to write reports and guide customers through projects from start to finish.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and engineering standards related to transformers and electrical components is a plus.
  • Strong customer-focused background.

Brief Summary of the Positions' Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design and production of transforming manufacturing equipment, tools, and assembly platforms from concept to completion.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the Production Engineering Specialists.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal engineering, design, and production teams to develop innovative solutions tailored to transformer manufacturing needs.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee quality control and testing of prototypes and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and industry standards.
  • Identify potential risks in project timelines, quality, or budget, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure all documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and user manuals, is accurate and up to date.
  • Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams and provide leadership in resolving technical challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during the design and manufacturing processes.

Required Experience, Education and Qualifications

  • Required: 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within an industrial equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Required: A Valid Class 5F driver's license.
  • Required: Clear Criminal Record Check.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
