Position Summary

Serve as primary liaison between Product Development Services and the various Project Managers on the Product Services team to ensure the communication of project statuses, delays, and roadblocks to the completion of development work related to the Services team's projects.

Work closely with Customers, the Product Development Services team, Project Managers in other internal Services groups, and Product Development leadership to help define, schedule, and track multiple project's objectives and obtain the scope of work from each member of the project team for each phase of the project. 

Help identify and implement project processes and workflows and lead multiple software application development projects from conceptualization to launch, assisting in the delivery those projects on time and on budget.  Facilitate and contribute where appropriate: planning meetings, reviews, retrospectives, technical architecture discussions, and systems design discussions. 

Be familiar with aspects of the various projects that can cause delays in delivery, including all short and long-term goals, and the entire project calendar. Coordinate with Customers to facilitate overcoming hurdles that could affect the estimation and completion of project deliverables.  Coordinate with Project Manager 

Essential Tasks

  • Collaborate with the Services Project Managers to ensure accurate communication of the team's progress on requested estimations and delivery of software development products.
  • Monitor and update the project statuses daily, including deliverables, dependencies, assignments and outcomes to ensure project deliverables stay on time and on target.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects throughout their full lifecycle, from business analysis through project start up, execution, completion and delivery.
  • Work with the Product Development Team leadership for approval on proposed scope and prioritization changes and to better understand the cost and budget of each project.
  • Prepare project reports for the Product Development and Services leadership providing updates on activities and deliverables, project risks, critical paths, as well as significant changes and risks
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and assist in developing contingency plans, including managing risk mitigation strategies working with the other members of the Product Development Team.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Follow development process and project management best practices, and drive their continuous improvement while being flexible to customize project management processes, tools, and templates as required for each individual project.
  • Facilitate and contribute where appropriate, planning meetings, reviews, retrospectives, technical architecture discussions, and systems design discussions.
  • Identify and propose project process changes to the team for consideration and implement proposed changes as approved by management
  • Assist in the documentation and publishing of all project and workflow departmental processes
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Project Management experience for at least two years for a software development team 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Project Management certification. PMI-ACP certification or Certified SCRUM Master is a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft’s Azure DevOps or JIRA.
  • Experience with SharePoint is a plus.
  • Experience writing SQL queries for project reporting is a plus
  • Ability to work within the resource and budget confines of the department

The pay range for this position is $63,000 - $104,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
