Job Description
The Project Manager in Enrollment Solutions & Effectiveness is an intermediate level position within our Program Management team who will be responsible for multiple Enrollment projects and organizational initiatives. They are familiar with project or program objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate activities across Enrollment Solutions & Effectiveness. This position will work with the Program Manager and others to develop and execute project work as it relates to projects and organizational initiatives.
The Project Manager:
- will prepare project plans to proactively anticipate issues and opportunities to control project scope and use project management applications and tools to logistically manage deliverables/deadlines.
- will effectively & efficiently communicate information to internal staff across ESE as needed.
- actively engages and complies with quality operations & reporting requests while maintaining productive relationships with internal resources and external customers to achieve project objectives.
- delivers projects to successful completion in alignment with strategic and operational goals through planning, coordinating, and managing resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- The qualities to excel in this position include the ability to make decisions based upon limited information, ability to indirectly contribute to multiple projects outside of core project management responsibilities, and excellent communication (including listening and facilitation) skills.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities
- Understand a project's scope and drive project deliverables from initiation to closure.
- Support project meetings by ensuring all project team members have the tools to perform effectively.
- Monitor projects on a regular basis; evaluating & reporting on progress and quality.
- Maintain the quality of all project document/data to assure the integrity of a project.
- Work with the Program Manager and others to analyze and report project data and communicate results.
- Adhere to standardized format guidelines.
- Support the development and refinement of processes to help all projects run effectively & efficiently.
- Support the coordination and scheduling of activities related to project work.
- Monitor and record project data, metrics, and measures of success
Required Skills, Experience and Competencies.
- College degree, or higher
- 3+ years of recent experience in a Project Management role
- The ability to demonstrate the application of Project Management Institute (PMI) principles
- Expert proficiency of project management applications including the use of Lucid (to build process maps), Microsoft Smartsheet (to create project plans and critical path models), and SharePoint/Confluence (to centralize documentation and automate dashboards).
- Significant project management experience managing multiple, conflicting priorities, and the ability to work in a fast paced, operational setting
- Demonstrated experience managing projects through influence without direct authority
- Professional experience in sales, contact center, operations, or IT industry required
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $70,000 - $80,000.
