The Project Manager must have experience in SharePoint Development/Administration. The PM must also be able to communicate written and orally to convey complex IT related solutions that are easily understood by nontechnical personnel. This is a remote (in the D.C. metro area preferred)Â position with a requirement to be onsite at our Reston HQ or DC client site for meetings and other events as requested.Â
What You'll Be Doing:Â
The Project Manager will lead a team to implement solutions using the Microsoft 365 (M365) ecosystem, namely SharePoint Online, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate for our federal client. This effort involves educating a user base who recently migrated to SharePoint Online and will require training and introduction to M365 services while instilling best practices. Support services will include managing, developing, operating, and maintaining Power BI/Power App Tools, MS SharePoint sites, automated dashboards and related internal collaboration spaces and providing training, presentations, and governance for applicable products. The PM will attend Senior level discussions on sites and tool development, which will enable our client’s capability to efficiently meet the needs of their customers, both internally and externally.Â
The Project Manager will manage administrative and deliverable-related aspects of project requests in close coordination with the COR and project team including resourcing and assisting in the project activities of off-site staff, ensuring  through on-site and off-site work to successfully deliver all project requirements and goals, including but not limited to:Â
- Will use best practices to support product planning and product development process, including backlog grooming and road mapping
- Facilitates matrixed Agile and Scrum teams to ensure collaboration between on and off-site personnel and seamless integration with personnel to share the knowledge and information that translates to cohesive and on-target work that meets the project and client's needs and objectives
- Manages stakeholder relationships on behalf of the project team, including gathering project requirements, facilitating prioritization and decision-making processes, and routine project communications
- Creates process and project documentation in collaboration with project teams
- Provides software development, continuous integration, software delivery, systems administration, software quality, and systems documentation support to digital assets, including the agency’s public-facing web site, as well as internal software tools
- Meets with the Application Development Team and content contributors to develop and discuss strategies and plans for web products, to analyze web content needs, and to propose ways the web products can address those needs
- Assists in building a strong technical foundation in build, release, and production using continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and infrastructure provisioning tools such Ansible
- Engages with various agency personnel to understand requirements in order to develop better software and identify new ways in which the development team can easily solve issues
- Collaborates with the client on the design, development, and data teams to build valuable tools that benefit the day-to-day operations and broader missions
- Provides training on a variety of systems development methodologies, best-practices, and tools along with insight into new technologies and solutions that could help the Application Team and the Bureau at large, and
- Assists in the development of Use Cases, Requirements Definition Documents, User and Administration Manuals, Detailed Design Specifications, and Training Manuals and Plans
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:Â
- A Bachelors Degree is required or experience in lieu of a degree (4 years related experience in addition to the below requirements)
- Must have at least 1 year of project management in the IT services industry
- Must have experience managing projects by balancing scope, time, cost, and quality
- Must be able to promote a positive environment that promotes individual development and high performance standards
- Experience leading IT project teams and facilitating people care of teams
- Experience leading project teams and facilitating project delivery
- Ability to provide exceptional oral, written, and open communications to client, team, and stakeholders
- Ability to provide timely, efficient, and effective communication
Our estimated salary range for this position is $96,000 - $130,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.Â
