Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing blueprints and schematics, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, construction management software, and project management principles. The Project Estimator will play a vital role in bidding processes, cost analysis, and resource planning to support the company's growth and project success.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to develop comprehensive project estimates.
  • Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid, ProCore, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D to prepare detailed cost proposals.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to gather project requirements and clarify scope of work.
  • Analyze labor, material, equipment costs, and subcontractor quotes to ensure accurate budgeting.
  • Prepare bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools.
  • Assist in the development of project timelines and resource allocation plans.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to gather additional information for accurate estimating.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, and related documentation for future reference.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, construction techniques, and new estimating tools or software.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in civil or general contracting projects.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical schematics.
  • Experience with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating practices including labor productivity rates and material pricing.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all work outputs.
  • Familiarity with construction management processes and industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Relevant certifications or training in construction estimating or project management are preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our projects' success while working within a dynamic team committed to excellence in construction delivery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,507.16-$95,926.16 per year
