Department Overview

Motorola Solutions has been on the cutting edge of technology for decades. Our public safety customers trust their lives to us; and you trust your life to them. We support our customers daily by providing them with technologies that work in the most demanding circumstances. We are turning data from our dispatch software, patrol tools, records management programs, and communications systems into actionable intelligence. Our UI/UX designers are at work putting that intelligence into the field. We want our customers to know this.
Job Description

To support this mission, you will be responsible for creating persuasive sales proposals that highlight company advantages. You will craft responses to customer questions, and coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure each document is both accurate and compelling.

    Responsibilities of the Proposal Manager include but are not limited to:

    • Coordinate sales proposals
    • Analyze customer requests for proposals (RFPs) to understand requirements
    • Identify opportunities and challenges in order to craft winning responses
    • Coordinate team responsibilities, schedule meetings, and set timelines
    • Organize content into a well-formatted, cohesive document
    • Develop a variety of sales documents (e.g., letters, project justifications, etc.)
    • Review competitor materials to regularly enhance sales deliverables

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree preferred
    • Preferably a background in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
    • Positive attitude with willingness to learn and collaborate
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in persuasive writing
    • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Internet, and email

    • 1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, business, proposals, writing, or sales
