THE POSITION

Cosm is looking for a passionate, hands-on Inventory and Purchasing Coordinator who will work with multiple departments to maintain a working inventory of parts for customer system builds and equipment installations.  This position will be responsible for the ordering of non-project specific equipment and monitoring current stock of these items.  The position requires forecasting, in consultation with Program Management and Manufacturing, as to future system parts requirements, and fulfilling of these requirements.  This position will be involved with supplying and designating parts for world-class immersive experiences worldwide. 

Responsibilities:

• Ordering of non-project specific equipment
• Works with Manufacturing department to maintain accurate count of current parts stock
• Creates new part numbers and entries when required
• Regularly inspects and reconciles part quantities of current stock
• Works with Program Management team to determine future parts needs for upcoming projects
• Coordinates fabrication schedule with external vendors to assure needed parts are available
• Works with shipping receiving staff to assure receipt and availability of parts
• Reconcile part database with current used parts
• Works with design team to ensure new components are available for the development of new system technologies.

Qualifications: 

• Familiarity with organizational part number creation preferred
• Highly Organized and detailed oriented
• Good communication skills with various types of company-wide teams
• Experience with database search and editing preferred
• Basic experience working with outside vendors to order equipment
• Some basic technical knowledge of electronic components preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
• Confident self-starter and highly motivated
• Enthusiastic about working with customers and vendors from all over the world
• Three years of technical purchasing experience
• High school diploma is required – College degree preferred.
