QA Tester

Your Role and Responsibilities
Test Planning and Design

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
• Design and implement automated testing scripts for backend systems.

Test Execution

• Perform manual and automated testing on Java-based backend applications.
• Execute various types of testing including functional regression integration performance and load testing.

Defect Management

• Identify document and track software defects using issue tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and testing strategies.

Reporting and Documentation

• Generate detailed test reports and provide regular updates on testing progress and outcomes.
• Maintain and update test documentation as needed.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical Skills

• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium JUnit TestNG or similar. Nice thave JEST experience.
• Strong understanding of backend technologies and web services (REST SOAP).
• Familiarity with version control systems (preferably Git).
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Basic understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance particularly in testing Java backend applications.
• Proven track record of developing and executing automated and manual test plans.
• Very good knowledge of SDLC.
• Experience in working on common code in a team with agile procedures
