Functional Tester

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Design develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for web applications.
• Perform functional testing on our web application including testing of JSON and XML interfaces batch processes and web services using SoapUI.
• Create and maintain automated tests using Selenium to ensure the quality and reliability of our web application.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and provide feedback on testability.
• Document and track defects using our defect tracking system JIRA and test case management tool XRay.
• Interrogate PostgreSQL databases to extract and analyze data including complex queries and compound statements.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our testing processes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Familiarity with Java and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with web services and APIs including SoapUI.
• Familiarity with JSON and XML.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
