QA/Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Analyzes customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan. Designs and develops written and/or visual product-related information - hard copy, web - (e.g., user/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into product, for a variety of audiences (end user, system administrators, internal support engineers, product developers, training developers). Codes, builds, compiles, and tests online information and/or sets-up, loads and tests systems hardware to create information deliverables and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development. As customer advocate, helps define/refine product requirements. Develops standards and style documents and templates, scripts, style sheets, and script and graphic libraries to ensure common look and feel. Interfaces with cross-functional areas as a member of the product development team, such as marketing, test, support, and manufacturing.

Education and Experience Required:

• 3-5 years of proven experience testing with a Java-based Selenium framework at enterprise
• 3-5 years of proven experience testing APIs
• Proficient in database querying, data creation, and data validation
• Strong knowledge and extensive experience in various types of testing (Unit, Integration, API, Smoke, System, Browser compatibility, etc.) is required
• Experience with mobile-native and mobile-web Appium automation is a plus
• Proactive, self-motivated, and independent with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
• Financial Services, background desired
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to collaborate at various levels and to find solutions
• Coach and mentor others on test automation tools and coding practices

Knowledge and Skills:

• The ability to create tests from scratch.
• The ability to reference common coding principles and development practices as they explain the logic behind their snippet of code.
