VideoAmp’s Quality Engineering team is seeking an Intermediate Quality Engineer who will be an exceptional addition to our growing team. As an Intermediate Quality Engineer at VideoAmp, you will be responsible for contributing to our software quality assurance efforts through test automation. The ideal candidate is passionate about all things software and quality engineering, and has solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle. The role is based remotely reporting to the Manager of Quality Engineering.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design and develop test automation leveraging a framework-based approach within a continuous deployment environment

• Collaborate with Product to define user scenarios and acceptance tests that ensure thorough test coverage of functionality leveraging various technologies (web, mobile, data and API)

• Assist in reproducing and troubleshooting key issues impacting our products

• Work closely with Development to understand and eliminate technical challenges or constraints impacting testability of the system

• Leverage data gathered from various sources in order to identify potential trends/issues within the system

WHAT TO BRING: 

The ideal candidate will be proficient in both testing and automation in a quality engineering capacity. This person will have solid foundational knowledge of QA tooling, workflows and principles.

• Knowledge of software development best practices and quality assurance methodologies

• Experience building test automation for end-to-end data quality validation including functional, heuristic and comparative testing 

• Knowledge of advanced quality software tools and services

• Familiarity with the SCRUM process and available organizational tools 

• Solid understanding of SQL, Python and/or JavaScript

NICE TO HAVES: 

• 2+ years experience with test automation design and development

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools such as SodaCL, Playwright, K6, etc

• Skilled with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases

• Experience in UI/API testing

• Experience with big data testing including defining and implementing known state test data sets

• College degree in the area of Computer Science or related technology disciplines preferred

Minimum base salary of $125,000 + Bonus/Commissions + Equity + Benefits. The actual compensation offer will be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, and experience.
