Ardent is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team.  

This is a remote role.

The Quality Assurance Analyst is in direct support to a DHS client seeking assistance in automating testing of a software solution. The Quality Assurance Analyst will perform analytical work in support of software testing. Typical duties involve assignment to assist in creation of test plans and procedures, testing product suites, participate in analysis during test periods, manual, and automated execution of test scripts, participate in post-test analysis and support test report generation. Both written and oral presentation of work products is required. 

Responsibilities:

• Use automated testing tools to evaluate software/Application for bugs, functionality, and data validation.
• Work directly with business and/or development teams for resolution of issues with software implementation.
• Perform backend / batch testing in a mixed virtual/physical environment.
• Develop Use Cases, Shall Statements and User Stories, as needed.
• Assist and ensuring full user epic/journey is considered
• Facilitate functional testing, integration testing and regression testing (manual and automated).
• Providing test reports and documenting problems found, steps to reproduce in the issue tracking tool and team site.
• Perform quality assurance testing to confirm the product satisfies end-user requirements and needs
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with stakeholders and other interested parties.
• Create test scripts to be used for training during UAT.
• Create and maintain test data to simulate real-life use cases.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with direct experience using Agile concepts.
• Strong understanding of different types of Manual and Automated Testing methodologies (unit, system integration, regression, compatibility & performance etc.) and an ability to plan/execute accordingly
• Work with Section 508 trained resources or independently to:
• Create 508 Test Plans and documenting test results
• Provide Accessibility Conformance Reports
• Document features provided to help achieve accessibility and usability for people with disabilities
• Document how to configure and install the ICT Item to support accessibility
• Document of core functions that cannot be accessed by persons with disabilities
• Document remediation plans to address non-conformance to the Section 508 standards

Requirements:

• 3-5 years minimum IT experience, in .Net environment.
• 3-5 years performing on Agile teams
• Experience setting up and using automated testing tools. 
• Experience performing Automation, Regression, System, Integration, Interface, Functional, Stress, Performance, Section 508 Compliance, and Cross Browser Compatibility testing.
• Experience creating and maintaining Test artifacts like Test Plan and strategy, Test Cases, Automated Test Scripts, and Test Results.
• Experience working using Agile processes.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Work well within a team or independently.
• Desired using the following software:
• HP LoadRunner, Telerik Test Studio, Selenium, NUnit, IBM’s Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management Suite which includes Rational DOORS Next Generation, Rational Team Concert and Rational Quality Manager
