Quality Engineer-Functional

Introduction
In this role you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role and Responsibilities
A Quality Engineer with a functional focus specializes in designing and executing testing for applications and systems built using custom technologies. Their expertise spans across all levels of testing including functional system integration and end-to-end testing. They possess deep skills in core testing technical testing and business domain/processes enabling them to create optimized test scenarios plan testing activities estimate work efforts and identify test environment and data requirements. This professional excels in using various testing tools BDD/TDD approaches and test accelerators to enhance test efficiency and quality. They are proficient in manual and automation testing executing test cases reporting test status and addressing defects through creation triage and resolution. Moreover they analyze test outcomes using analytical and cognitive techniques to drive continuous improvements.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Design and execute application functional testing . Has knowledge and experience on testing concept test data test environment defect triage identifying dependency reporting test results and effectively using testing tools .

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Preferred experience: knowledgeable on design creation and execution of functional and/or non-functional test cases; experience with tool (or similar tools) such as: Confluence JIRA Selenium Test Data Management Tools Performance Testing Tools
• Familiarity with data quality analysis and testing skills in API ETL and SQL
• Exposure to basic data science concepts
