Quantum SW R&D intern for Qiskit- Summer internship 2025- Research Lab

Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for an MSc or PhD student to join the quantum computing group at the IBM Research – Haifa. The focus of the role is on the Qiskit SDK package specifically in the area of quantum circuit compilation and optimization with the intention of developing and improving methods for quantum circuit synthesis. As part of the role you will be working in an agile and collaborative environment together with other members of the broader IBM Quantum team.
This position is located in Haifa Tel-Aviv or Remote.

Our summer internship program offer you an opportunity to join our research team for 3 months internship (working 5 days a week) in either Haifa or Tel Aviv sites (according to each internship). During the internship you will be working with our talented researcher on top projects helping create the next generation of AI security quantum cloud and much more.

• Strong background in quantum information
• Knowledge in quantum circuit compilation optimization or synthesis is a big advantage
• Experience with Rust
• Proficiency with Github
