Radar Signal Processing Engineer
Job Description
As a Radar Signal Processing Engineer, you will create and lead technical teams that design, analyze, and demonstrate novel signal processing, optimization, and machine learning algorithms for advanced electronic warfare and sensor applications. These algorithms will be integrated into models and simulations at various levels of complexity and demonstrated on hardware in the field or in a laboratory setting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop system concepts, radar signal processing algorithms, and RF solutions for remote sensing challenges
- Work as part of a small, focused team to develop and implement novel sensing, electronic warfare, and signal processing systems
- Design and implement models and simulations of advanced RF systems
- Support business development and proposal writing efforts
Requirements:
A successful candidate will have working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: optimization, electronic warfare, adaptive signal processing, machine learning, algorithm development, test & evaluation, model & simulation, systems engineering, or radar systems.
- U.S. citizenship with active Security Clearance, and eligible to support special access programs
- Strong Mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python as well as other higher-level languages
Experience:
- 2+ years with a PhD, 4+ years with a MS, 6+ years with BS
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to survey literature to determine state-of-the-art, incorporate recent research and apply to current problem sets
- Understanding and experience in interacting with decision-makers and customers to translate mission needs into an end-to-end analytical solution
- Ability to create and present deep technical briefings as well as high-level briefings to Customers and senior management
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff
Education:
- PhD, MS, or BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline
