About you:

The Referral Coordinator ensures accurate, efficient, and timely coordination of specialty care for patients. 

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Customer Service. 
• Experience with EMR
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Review’s referral requests generated by primary care physician. 
• Coordinate’s appointment date and time for patient. 
• Informs patient of appointment date and time, special test preparations as necessary, and schedules transportation as required. 
• Reviews open referral report (pending medical records) on a weekly basis, to ensure consult reports have been received prior to patient's visit with PCP. 
• Schedule’s appointment date and time for surgeries and coordinates transportation as required. 
• Addresses patient problems/concerns as may arise. 
• Answers telephone inquiries on matters relating to referrals. 
• Complies with company and regulatory agency guidelines. 
• Other duties as assigned.
